GameSpot gives total coverage to the 2007 DICE Summit including awards, game previews and interviews with a few industry executives. Lots of great information on what to expect this year as well as some of the highlights from 2006.
Attention “Browncoats”
December 16, 2006The Multiverse Network has announced its cooperation with Twentieth Century Fox to create an MMORPG based on the Firefly “‘verse.” Joss Whedon’s sci-fi television series, which has enjoyed a huge cult following after the cancellation of the series and the release of the movie Serenity, continues its life in another new medium.

Clinton Vs. ESRB: Round 2
December 7, 2006Round 2: A tag match for gaming history. In one corner, Senators Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman. In the other corner, the ESRB. It’s the fight of the century, NOT. Instead of a fight about game ratings, this time, the Senators are working together with the ESRB in a national campaign to raise awareness on game ratings. Clinton, Lieberman, and the ESRB: one big, happy family. Maybe uncle Jack Thompson will join in too! A win for video games? Maybe; only time will tell.
Gaming coverage to come to CBS
December 4, 2006Television is conceding to video gaming starting with CBS. The World Series of Video Gaming is signing a deal with CBS to televise the Series. This is big news for professional gaming and the entertainment industry as well. The timing is interesting with CBS previously signing up for the XBox Live Video Marketplace. I would bet CBS’ new tune is due in part to Microsoft’s promotion of XBox Live Marketplace. You can read more about the deal at GameDaily.com
